Lerderderg & Werribee Gorges Map Guide – 4th edition
Meridian Maps is pleased to announce the release of the 4th edition of its very popular Lerderderg & Werribee Gorges Map Guide. Thoroughly updated since the 3rd edition which was published in 2005, the map provides an excellent and up to date picture of the two state parks and all the recreational features and activities available. The map has been rechecked by Meridian staff with input from Parks Victoria making this map both authoritative and accurate.
Some of the improvements in the map include:
• Updated track and road alignments
• New walking track at Werribee Gorge State Park
• Replacement of Safety Signs with ESTA Emergency Markers along the Lerderderg Gorge
• Updated Local Information
Designed primarily for the camper, bushwalker, angler, four-wheel-driver or day-tripper, the map contains the latest data available.
The 1:35,000 park map details the whole of Lerderderg and Werribee Gorges State Parks and parts of the adjoining Wombat State Forest. Features include creeks and lakes, tracks and roads, cultural and historical features, as well as fences and other linear features to help navigation. The most popular walking area between O’Briens Crossing and Blackwood has been enlarged to 1:20,000 on the reverse of the map, along with the whole of Werribee Gorge. These enlargements highlight the facilities, walking tracks and features of those areas.
Accompanying the map is a generous amount of text and photography highlighting the parks’ history, flora and fauna, and conservation. There are also sections covering local information, web links, further reading, local tourist attractions and accommodation. The map folds to a handy pocket size of 260 x 100 mm and is printed on a hard wearing paper suitable for the rigours of constant folding and bushwalking.
With a RRP of only $9.95, the Lerderderg & Werribee Gorges Map Guide offers great value for money.
Along with our new Brisbane Ranges National Park Map Guide and the Wombat Forest Touring Guide Meridian Maps has the western regions parks and forests covered.
